SONEs joined forces to give 1,000,000 won for the patients of Lou Gehrig’s Disease

SONEs did an excellent job for the good name of Girls Generation / SNSD(소녀시대)
SONEs have joined hands in order to put an excellent amount of 1,000,000 won for the patients of Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS). It is a disease that damages motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord. Motor neurons are nerve cells that control muscle movement. Upper motor neurons send messages from the brain to the spinal cord, and lower motor neurons send messages from the spinal cord to the muscles. Motor neurons are an important part of the body's neuromuscular system. Girls Generation's online fan cafe members said: “In the name of SNSD, we have donated 1 million Won to the Korean ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Association“.

According to a team leader, “Although the amount is not huge, we hope that it would help a bit. The fact that all fansites joined hands made this effort a meaningful one”. Another member added, “In the future, we would like to participate and lead such voluntary event again”.

A very nice deed that fans everywhere must exhibit for their group and for the people they are helping. Hope this great deed inspires every fan group to do great deeds.
