SM Town concert in Japan gives off an explosive success

SM Entertainment recently held their annual live tour “SMTOWN LIVE in TOKYO” where popular groups like TVXQ, BoA, Kang-ta, Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, SHINee, TRAX’s Jungmo, and J-Min performed.
Held over two days on January 25th and 26th, the live concerts took place at the Tokyo National Yoyogi First Gymnasium and they were overflowing with wild enthusiasm from 24,000 excited fans. The concert was deemed successful, with over 400,000 applications for a small amount of seats. In response, SM Entertainment announced that they will be holding two encore concerts on April 8th and 9th at the Tokyo Dome to accommodate the fans who could not go.
The first sets of the Tokyo performances included KANGTA, BoA, Tohoshinki, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, f(x), Jungmo from Trax, and J-Min. Over a course of 3.5 hours, SM Entertainment artists gave perfect performances of their hit medleys and collaboration stages, captivating all of the fans.
The highlight of this live concert was, as expected, TVXQ (known as Tohoshinki in Japan) Tohoshinki, who performed in Japan for the first time in more than a year. The loud cheers ringing throughout the stadium deafened the atmosphere as they performed their new song “Why? (Keep Your Head Down)” for the firs time in Japanese. Also, to the joy of fans, they also performed their one of their older hit songs, “Somebody to Love”
Tickets for the encore concerts at the Tokyo Dome in April will be available soon from Ticketbo.
