Drama rumor for Girls Generation?



There were news articles circulating around the entertainment industry suggesting SNSD will be starring in a drama adapted from a popular Japanese manga.
In reaction to this, SNSD’s management agency, SM Entertainment has dismissed the news as a rumor. From a telephone conversation with Money Today Star News on February 2nd, SM Entertainment said, “There is no plan to cast them in a drama“.
The representative added, “As SNSD will be focusing on domestic activities, there is no plan for them to star in drama“.

4minute asks fans to look forward to their comeback

On February 2nd, the ladies of 4minute raised everyone’s anticipation for their comeback by revealing that they were recording for their next album!
Jihyun stated, “As it’s the year of the rabbit, we’ll be showing new sides to 4minute and will be greeting you all soon, so please look forward to us. We’re busily recording right now, and hope to quickly show it to everyone.”
4minute continued, “Please consider 4minute as your luck for the 2011 New Year and wait for us. When our album finally comes out, we’ll work to fill you with happiness and joy through our songs.  Prepare yourself to become happy!”
Gayoon stated,I want to visit my grandmother’s over the holiday. She lives in the country, so I want to enjoy country food and just spend a nice quiet time with our members. I hope to eat the delicious meals cooked by Jihyun unni and rice cake soup made by Hyuna.”
Jiyoon added, Spending time with our families will be a priority. I want to meet up with my friends and spend time chatting and enjoying the smaller joys in life.”
Hyuna revealed, I’d like to be able to spend time with my family, eat delicious things with the members, and play traditional Korean games.”
Sohyun expressed that she’d like to meet her parents over the break and added,Please watch out for the variety programs we’ll be appearing on!”
Jihyun concluded, “Last Lunar New Year, we were promoting in Thailand, but this year, we hope to be able to spend it with our family and relatives. My grandparents are both getting old, so I am worried about their health and want to be near them. I hope to spend a quiet and simple, but also the happiest, break with my family.”
Hyuna concluded, We appeared in special Lunar New Year programs, and even gave our try at a marathon. It was our first time, so I thought all I had to do was run, but it wasn’t as easy as I thought. We began the New Year with a cold, but I’d like to consider it a way of driving away the evil in order for everyone to spend a healthy and Happy New Year.”

Far*East Movement flying up the charts with “Rocketeer” + release LA Dreamer Short Film

Electro hop and electronic dance rap quartet Far*East Movement enjoyed the view from the top of the Billboard Charts in 2010 with their hit single “Like a G6.” Now, they have another hit on their hands.
In November of 2010, they released the MV for “Rocketeer” featuring the smooth vocals of Ryan Tedderof One Republic. Like the song’s namesake, the track is blasting off on the various music charts, climbing the iTunes chart at #5 and the Billboard Hot 100 at #16. In addition, their Free Wired album recently hit #1 on Yahoo! Japan. In addition, they recently released the LA Dreamer Short Film of the MV:

Far*East Movement is also scheduled to go on tour with Rihanna down under in Australia and New Zealand in late February and early March. Interview with Kim Heechul on the Accident in Singapore



Super Junior’s members Kim Heechul and Leeteuk were in a 7 cars accident. The management company SM Entertainment eased the fans’ mind by saying, “the two people are fine. When they come back to Korea on the 31st, they will go to the hospital and receive an examination. “

When Super Junior successfully finished SM Town Live in Tokyo which was held at Yoyogi Stadium in Tokyo, Japan, they visited Singapore on the 28th for their concert Super Show3 which was to be held on the 29th and 30th.
When Super Junior arrived at the airport, many fans were present. Some diehard fans rode on several cars and started to chase the stars’ van which was heading to the hotel. A dangerous race ensued and finally, a car hit the van which Leeteuk and Heechul were riding on, creating the first accident. Afterward, 5 cars that were chasing the van continuously collided with each other making the collisions into a 7 cars accident. The accident was featured in Singapore newspapers.
Talking to Sportsworld over the phone, Kim Heechul expressed his discomfort saying, “my body’s not feeling good because of my back pain.”  He added, “it was horrible because it reminded me of the past incident. Leeteuk and I experienced it before.” In April 2007, Super Junior was involved a car accident when the van that the members rode on rolled over leaving Kyuhyun in a critical condition. In August of 2006, Heechul was in a car accident when he was on his way back from visiting the funeral of Donghae’s father. Heechul had hip and ankle fractures and was hospitalized for 12 weeks. He received a surgery to put 7 metal pins in his left leg.
Heechul said, “because of the aftereffect of the accident I had before, I can’t go to sleep in the car and I can’t bend my legs well.  I’m not going to happy complain about how I want to have a private life. But I don’t want to risk my life to receive love.”

U-Know Yunho and Seohyun became school uniform models?



Recently, the photo of TVXQ’s leader U-Know Yunho and SNSD’s maknae Seohyun in uniform had surfaced on online community boards.
However, idol stars are usually not selected for school uniform CF. The two of them became the models for a school contest’s printed ads targeting at teenagers.
At that time, U-Know Yunho had just debuted with TVXQ while Seohyun was still a trainee and a secondary school student. Seohyun’s long hair and big eyes plus Yunho’s good student image with a book in his hand added more ‘young and fresh’ feel to the ad.
Netizens who saw the ad commented, “Both look young and fresh….”, “It really gives a warm feeling”, “Yunho and Seohyun look compatible to each other” and “Both of them are so cute”.

G.NA considers SECRET’s Hyosung as her maknae forever

During an interview with reporters on February 1st, singer G.NA expressed her affection for her fellow “Five Girls” members.
“After our individual debuts, we weren’t able to get together for a long time in person and could only kept in contact using other methods. Once Jiwon debuts and we all get a bit of free time on our own, I’m looking forward to a meeting around 2012,” she said.
“Five Girls” was a girl group comprised of G.NA, Wonder Girls‘ YubinAfter School’UEESECRET’sHyosung, and Jiwon (who’s currently preparing for her acting debut). The group never actually debuted because their agency, Good Entertainment, experienced some financial troubles. The girls disbanded and eventually succeeded elsewhere.
G.NA continued, “We ask each other how everyone’s doing and even monitor for one other. Since Yubin is in the U.S., she’ll look over our outfits and choreography, and contact us by phone or through Twitter. The same goes for the other members. We haven’t been able to meet up yet, but our hearts are always together.”
Her affection for Hyosung is stronger than for the others’ because she was the maknae. With Hyosung graduating and becoming the proud leader of SECRET, G.NA couldn’t help but reminisce fondly over the past. “I see Hyosung in the waiting room often. Although she’s a strong leader of a team, she’ll always be a maknae to me. I feel really proud every time I see her, it’s like I’ve become her mother.”
She added, “Living in one house together, we shared many tears, hardships, but also many joys. I can tell what she’s thinking just by looking at her eyes. I think it’ll be the same when I meet the others.”
